They tell you to start by outlining your mission and vision. It makes you look noble, strategic, committed. But nobody tells you how easily that becomes a false sense of accomplishment before anything tangible happens.
Writing down your mission is fine, but what truly matters is the culture; the unwritten rules, the quiet ways people show up, how much they care, help, and support each other.
You can write purpose, but you can’t fake trust, and no amount of polished language covers that gap.
Meaningful work rarely starts with a slogan.
